The challenge was to overhaul the traditional rental process, incorporating cutting-edge features into a user-friendly platform. The goal was to develop an app that not only eases the booking and check-in process but also ensures a seamless guest experience from start to finish.
Our Strategy: Thorough Discovery and User-Centric Design
We commenced with a comprehensive discovery phase using the BRIDGeS framework, which helped us craft an initial roadmap for Hububb. This strategic approach was vital in understanding the market needs and outlining the primary functionalities of the app.
Solution Development: Phased Approach for Maximum Impact
Our development process was executed in phases:
- Mobile App Development: Within 1.5 months, we launched the first version of the mobile app, featuring a keyless check-in system powered by the Klevio API.
- Booking and Payment Integration: We then integrated a seamless booking and payment process, syncing with Guesty's property management platform.
- Web App Creation: Following the mobile app, a web application was developed, focusing on easy property search and booking functionalities.
- KYC Integration: To enhance security and trust, we incorporated a Know Your Customer (KYC) process, ensuring safe and verified transactions.
Technical Choices: Focused on Reliability and User Experience
We developed Hububb using React Native for cross-platform mobile app responsiveness, Express.js for efficient backend operations, and Google Cloud Platform for robust infrastructure. Firestore served as our real-time, scalable database, while Elasticsearch powered our advanced property search functionality. GCP Cloud Functions enabled a responsive, event-driven architecture, ensuring a seamless user experience.

The launch of Hububb's app significantly improved the rental process. Its intuitive design and advanced features like keyless check-in have made it a favorite among guests, redefining their rental experience.

Our hands-on approach, including on-site testing and experiencing the app as guests, allowed us to refine and perfect the app further.
