About

The Solace is a unique web application dedicated to navigating the complexities of death while celebrating life. It provides an intuitive platform for two primary user groups: Funeral Directors (FDs) and normal visitors. The app enables Funeral Directors to create and manage memorials seamlessly while allowing loved ones and visitors to engage in meaningful ways, whether through condolences, candles, memories, albums, or donations. The Solace also includes a thoughtfully integrated e-commerce store powered by Shopify headless, allowing users to send sympathy gifts like flowers.

At MVP Masters, we approach product development with a comprehensive understanding of all roles involved—from Product Management, Design, and Engineering to Marketing, Sales, Data Analytics, and Customer Support. For The Solace, our work extended beyond engineering to product management and strategic guidance.

We collaborated with the client team to define the product vision and refine workflows, focusing on building a user-friendly platform tailored to the unique needs of their audience. Our engineering efforts included developing the web app using NextJS and NestJS for scalability, integrating AWS for hosting, and creating a robust product dashboard. To enhance decision-making, we implemented Mixpanel for actionable insights.

In addition to core development, we supported the tech setup for marketing and sales by integrating tools like Klaviyo for email campaigns, Stripe for secure payment processing, Shopify for managing the e-commerce store, iDonate for streamlined donations, and Amazon Cognito for secure authentication.

To provide a professional and engaging online presence, we built the public-facing website using Webflow. Beyond technical execution, we aided in data scraping for client outreach.

The team at MVP Masters is flexible, process-driven, and dedicated to the mission. They took the time to really understand our product and what we’re trying to achieve, and they worked hard to make it happen. Beyond just engineering, they helped guide us on product development, integrations, and more.
